LMP ThunderDock TB5 14-Port Docking Station space greyThe LMP ThunderDock TB5 is a Thunderbolt 5 docking station with 14 ports that supports data transfer, video output, audio connections and network access through a single Thunderbolt 5 cable. It is backward compatible with USB4 as well as Thunderbolt 3 and 4. The aluminum enclosure supports horizontal or vertical placement and a power on/off button eliminates the power consumption when not in use. The LMP ThunderDock TB5 8K 14 Port works with macOS and Windows.
For video output, the ThunderDock TB5 offers two Thunderbolt 5 ports that support resolutions up to 8K@60 Hz, as well as two HDMI 2.1 ports supporting up to 4K@60 Hz. Multi-monitor setups are possible depending on the capabilities of the host device. Video transmission is handled via DP Altmode, so compatibility with the host’s external display support should be verified.
Besides the ulta-fast Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports that can transfer data up to 80 Gbps, the docking station includes four USB-A and an additional USB-C port with transfer rates up to 10 Gpbs. Two USB-A ports support BC1.2 (1.5A/7.5W) for charging smartphones or accessories. Additional USB ports provide further connectivity options for peripherals and storage devices. The USB ports are conveniently located on the front and rear side so the cable clutter is minimized.
A 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port (RJ45) provides fast wired network access and supports features such as auto-negotiation and Wake On LAN. The docking station also includes dual SD/TF 4.0 card readers and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack for input and output. A Kensington Security Slot allows the enclosure to be secured against removal.
The included 180W power adapter supplies power to the docking station and can provide pass-through power via Thunderbolt 5 to the host (laptop) with up to 140W (Power Delivery 3.1).
