The affordable docking station offers 20 ports for peripherals, up to 100 watts of laptop charging power, M.2 NVMe SSD connectivity, HDMI display and 2.5 Gbit Ethernet support.

With the Echo 20 Thunderbolt 4 SuperDock, users can connect powerful peripherals to their portable computer via cable, charge it at the same time, support fast wired network connections and read SD memory cards.
An NVMe M2 SSD can be installed in Sonnet's all-rounder, which is also equipped with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, offers four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Type-C and Type-A ports each, as well as an HDMI 2.1 port, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) - and a 3.5 mm combo audio port. There are also two analogue line-level output jacks, a 3.5 mm microphone jack and an SD 4.0 card slot.

Sonnet's new dock is compatible with both Apple M-series Macs and Intel Macs with Thunderbolt 3. Windows computers with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4, as well as newer Windows computers with Thunderbolt 3 USB4 Chromebooks and M-Series iPad Pro are also supported.


The advantages of the solution

- Integrated M.2 NVMe SSD socket
Users can install up to 8TB of storage without an external storage device. With data transfers of up to 800 MB/s, the internal storage can be used for a variety of purposes, including media storage and Time Machine backups.

- HDMI 2.1 port
No adapter is required to connect directly to an 8K @60Hz display with HDMI. Depending on the computer model, the dock supports the connection of one 8K monitor or two 6K displays.

- 2.5Gb Ethernet port
When connected to a compatible switch or NAS, 2.5GbE connectivity enables faster data transfers over existing cables (Cat 5e and above) without the need for an adapter (also backwards compatible with Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure).

- Eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports
The dock includes two USB-A and two USB-C ports on the front and back. The Sonnet dock's eight USB 3 ports use Boost Power to ensure bus-powered SSDs with higher peak power requirements operate reliably. The USB-C ports support the Type-C charging specification. The dock can therefore be used to charge devices even when the computer is switched off, in sleep mode or not connected.

- Audio I/O ports
The dock is equipped with a 3.5 mm TRRS headphone jack on the front and a 3.5 mm mono microphone jack on the rear. Separate output jacks for the left and right channels provide a line output for powered speakers or an amplifier. This avoids distortion that can occur with headphone jacks.

- Rear computer/charging port (Thunderbolt 4)
In response to popular demand, the computer interface/charging port has been placed on the rear panel, allowing for easier cable management.

- Two Thunderbolt 4 peripheral ports.
These support both Thunderbolt and USB peripherals - including displays - and deliver up to 15W of power each. When used with self-powered Thunderbolt devices, the ports support up to five devices via a daisy-chain connection.

- ThunderLok Support
A Sonnet ThunderLok 4-Thunderbolt connector is included. This can be used to prevent accidental disconnection.
