The bottom end is 33% shorter than AirPods (2nd generation) and has a pressure sensor that lets you control music and calls. 3D audio with dynamic head tracking. Sound is placed all around you. So you get a three-dimensional listening experience for music, TV shows, and movies that you can fully immerse yourself in. Gyro and accelerometer sensors in AirPods work together to track your head movements - so it sounds like you're at the center of songs and scenes.¹
Adaptive EQ. Music automatically adjusts to your ear shape. Inward-facing microphones detect what you're hearing and adjust the low and mid frequencies. This reproduces the finest details in every song.
Longer battery life. AirPods have one hour more battery life compared to AirPods (2nd generation). This allows up to 6 hours of playback² and up to 4 hours of talk time⁴. An improved skin detection sensor turns AirPods on or off, saving battery when necessary. Just 5 minutes of charging is enough for about an hour of playback or talk time. And the MagSafe charging case gives you over 30 hours of battery life and is compatible with all MagSafe and wireless chargers.
Protection from sweat and water. The AirPods and MagSafe charging case are IPX4 rated and protected from water and sweat - so you can wear them in the rain and hard workouts.³.
Absolutely Magical. Setup is easy - just take them out of the case and they're ready to go. Switch between your Apple devices automatically. In-ear recognition distinguishes between your ear and other surfaces. With the message announcement feature, you can have Siri read your messages to you. And audio sharing makes it easy to share songs or shows with another person between two pairs of AirPods.⁵
