Compatibility
- Compatible with Mac Pros or PCs with available PCIe 2.0 x1 slot or later.
- For optimal data throughput on PCs you need
- PCIe 2.0 x1 slot or newer version. Using a PCIe 1.0 x1 slot will reduce performance.
- For optimal data throughput with Apple Mac Pro you need:
- 2010 & 2009: Use either a x4 or a x16 slot as both guarantee full performance.
- 2008: Use one x16 slot for maximum throughput. Using a PCIe 1.0 x1 slot will reduce performance.
- 2007 & 2006: All slots are compatible, but using a PCIe 1.0 slot will reduce performance.
